Hi friends,
Greetings from Uruguay!
I chose Montevideo as my exit city. Flying out from Uruguay is 2x cheaper than from Buenos Aires. Tomorrow I land in Colombia for Month 6 of my #YearOfTravel. Did I say I love change? Whether it's between cities or coffee shops, I flourish in transition periods.
Here's What I Wanted to Share:
I fought anxiety. From ages 10-22, I had crippling social anxiety. So I picked the two most active hostels I could find and stayed in them for 30 nights straight. The Goal? Surround myself with as many people as possible. Become comfortable around people. And eliminate fear.
I flunked Spanish. I love the language but it was killing me. Always exhausted after class. 50% Attendance. But hey I learned a lot of words. And I’m jamming to Reggaeton. My latest obsession is Shakira / Bizarrap Vol 53.
I spoke with a coach. As preliminary exploration for starting my own Coaching Business. The lady I spoke to was so impressed that she asked to schedule monthly calls with me. So I’m offering the same. If you’d like to catch up, please reply to this email and I’ll send you a Calendar invite. We’ll have a 5-30 minute call on the 21st of each month (until I finish my Year of Travel). Just hit reply ✌️
I fired the CTO. Well, not really. I joined a startup. Attended one dev meeting. Found it was chaos. And told the CEO “You’re not going to get there, with the ways things currently are.” And this was Day 2 on the job 🤣! But yeah, I’m hiring a CTO / developer. If interested, please email leo@delkatalents.com.

These are all inspiring shares Leo, especially the hostel lockdown stories to learn how to be around people. What an awesome commitment to have taken on.
I've always had some social anxiety but it's reared its head in a monstrous way as of late. I may borrow your idea about staying at active hostels, or switch it up at stay at active campgrounds in my van. Getting out and traveling provides perspective on how fluid everything is. No need to worry. Humans are good.
